NEOLIVER publishes report from the IV Regenerative Medicine Workshop on Bioprinting of Living Cells

NEOLIVER is pleased to share the publication of the official report from the IV Regenerative Medicine Workshop: Bioprinting of Living Cells, organised by AMIRES on behalf of the project and held in Prague on 3rd February 2026.

Bringing together leading experts from research, clinical practice, industry, regulatory bodies, and patient organisations, the workshop provided a multidisciplinary platform to accelerate the translation of bioprinting technologies from laboratory innovation to clinical application.

The discussions focused on addressing key challenges in the field, including regulatory pathways, clinical validation, and scalability, while also fostering collaboration across European initiatives working on regenerative medicine and advanced biofabrication.

The report captures the main insights and technological advances presented during the event, covering topics such as:

  • Novel bioprinting approaches and material innovations for tissue engineering
  • Progress towards clinical translation and regulatory frameworks
  • The role of patient involvement in shaping research and innovation
  • Emerging applications in vascular, liver, and corneal tissue engineering

Overall, the workshop highlighted the growing maturity of bioprinting technologies and their potential to deliver tangible clinical impact in regenerative medicine.

We would like to thank all speakers, participants, and contributors for making this event a success and for advancing dialogue towards the future of regenerative medicine.
